1 Thessalonians 5:17

17(A)pray without ceasing
Today is a pretty important day. A good friend of ours, Terri, is having surgery to remove cancer from her breast. We figured today as good a day as any to remind ourselves how important it is to pray without cease. Continually lift things up to the Lord and you will see His will be done. We ask anybody that happens to be reading this post just stop right now and pray for Terri and her husband Mark. It doesn't matterif you know them or not- we all serve the same God. We love them very, very much! So pray now please.
Last night was pretty cool! First our good friend Harris stopped by to introduce himself to Addison, then we went to our home group(we had a potluck so it was our biggest group yet-go figure). Addison made a new friend, Corbin, so we thought we should show some pics from their first playdate. Hope you all have a great day!
And by the way- Happy Birthday to Sarah and Preston!!!!!

Philippians 4:4

4(A)Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!
'
Today was another exciting day in the wonderful world of parenting. Addison had her first doctors appointment. She didn't hate it as much as we thought she would, but I don't think it was her favorite place on earth. As difficult as it is staying up all night when she is fussy or trying to function on a few hours of sleep, we can't help but rejoicing in the fact that God has blessed us with a beautiful little girl. We love her soooooo much!
Todays pictures were from her trip to see the doctor. Hope you all enjoy them. Tomorrow is going to be another exciting day, so you all should be eagerly awaiting that post. By the way, our friends Chris and Amanda finally had their baby last night-Ezekiel Laurence Kimble came in at 7 lbs. 14 oz.( just a little bigger than Addison- almost 2 lbs.!). So keep praying for both Amanda and Mariah as they both recover from this miracle they call childbirth. Don't forget to rejoice in the Lord always!

Psalms 127:3

3Behold, (A)children are a gift of the LORD, The (B)fruit of the womb is a reward.

This baby truly is our gift! What a wonderful Creator. Anyways, day 3 of Addison's life was an exciting one. She got to meet a great aunt-Aunt Linda- and a great grandmother-Grandma Doris(aka Little Grandma). Today is also exciting because our friends Chris and Amanda are having their baby as I am writing this. Hopefully it is an easy birth like ours, but then again it helps when you have a 6 lb. baby.

We will keep updating the pics on here and the more people who meet her, the more people who make it on the blog (that doesn't mean you should just start randomly showing up at our house though). Once again thank you and we love you to everyone who was there with us to share that awesome experience with us and to all the people who were praying for us. We know that there is still a lot of family that has to meet Addison from far off places like Maui, Oregon, Stockton, West Virginia (I think that"s where Paul and Lauren and Murphy live) to name a few and I think you can tell by the face above that she is stoked to meet all of you.

John 16:21

21"(A)Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.

Praise Jesus! That is an awesome promise to women. After 9 long months our beautiful baby is here! Due to the recent addition to our family, we felt it necessary to really start documenting the tiny miracle GOD has blessed us with. She came in at a whoppin' 6 lbs. and 18.5". Thank you everybody for the prayers- we totally felt them. In fact, Mariah was havin g some pretty heavy contractions and Rachel sent out a mass text saying that Mariah was dilated to 6 cm and to pray. She came back into the room about 2 minutes later and Mariah was dilated to 10 cm and starting to push. GOD totally answers prayers if we are faithful to cry out to Him! Thanks to all you prayer warriors and we love you all. Don't be surprised if we lag on updating this thing, but totally leave comments telling us how cool our baby is. In case you were wondering, her name is Addison Grace Leonard.
